ELIGIBILITY & ENTRIES

Friday Night at the Races

• All registered EFSL swimmers are invited to participate in this meet. Swimmers do not need a QT for Friday night swim events. It is a great way for all registered Sea Dragons to participate in LDC weekend (also check out relay info above).
• Swimmers CANNOT qualify for LDC at events on Friday night.
• Swimmers CAN earn a QT for Short Distance Champs (SDC) and it applies toward the meet attendance minimum. 
• Events and entry limits - check the meet announcement published by the hosting team. 

Championship Events (Saturday & Sunday)

• Swimmers must earn a valid QUALIFYING TIME (personal times can be found in your Swim Portal or publicly on Swim Cloud).
• Entries for LDC are due one week before competition and swimmers must earn a QT before the entry deadline. Check with your coach for more information.
• Entry limits - each swimmer may enter in a maximum of five individual events (no more than three per day), plus one relay each day.
• Swimmers do not need a QT to participate in relays. Please let your coach or statistician know if you have a registered Sea Dragon who isn't swimming individual events but might like to swim a relay leg.

WHAT MAKE THIS MEET DIFFERENT?

This is the only meet of the season where teams participate as a unit to win TEAM PRIZES - even small teams can win one of three trophies at Divisionals!

• Team Points Award - Team with the biggest improvement over their seed times (Sea Dragons won this award in 2024).
• Points per Swimmer - Goes to the team who has the highest average points per swimmer.
• Divisional Champs - Overall high point scoring team 

ELIGIBILITY

• All Sea Dragons are encouraged to attend.
• There is NO QUALIFYING TIME or ATTENDANCE MINIMUM to participate.
• Divisional meets count toward the Short Distance Champs minimum of four (4) sanctioned EFSL meets.
• This is the last meet before Short Distance Champs.
• Invited teams: Aviano, Lisbon, Naples, Rota, Sigonella, Vicenza

• Use your Swim Portal to RSVP for home and away meets, even if you do not plan to attend.
• Please ask your coach about event entries.
• Swimmers may enter in three individual events and two relays.

ELIGIBILITY

In order to compete at SDC swimmers must:

• Earn a valid QUALIFYING TIME (personal times can be found on Swim Cloud; search for your swimmer on the top bar of the page)
• Participate in at least four (4) sanctioned EFSL meets before the end of January

ENTRIES

• Use your Swim Portal to RSVP for home and away meets, even if you do not plan to attend.
• Please ask your coach about event entries.
• Swimmers may enter all events in which they have a valid QT, plus one relay each day.
• Swimmers do not need a QT to participate in relays, but they MUST have attended at least four (4) swim meets throughout the competitive season. Please let your coach or statistician know if you have a sibling swimmer who isn't swimming individual events but might like to swim a relay leg.
